Supposed to loosen boards on Minotaur's head. Falls on Baenlin. He dies. No prob. Supposed to do this between 8-11 pm. No prob. Supposed to avoid killing Gromm the bodyguard. No prob. I STILL FAIL. Why? Gromm wasn't even home. Sigh. Here's a video I made of the whole Hit. Someone tell me what I did wrong, if anything, please.

You're pinning it on gromm, gromm must be home. In my experience Gromm went to his fallen master and was like QQ.

You're pinning it on gromm, .
I am going to have to argue you here. The mission is called "Accidents Happen". I just watched the video, the entire thing prompts you w/helpers that say this is a murder that looks like the head loosened up over time, and was a tragic accident. Yeah, on my last playthrough, I saw him boo-hooing. I just don't see how this is a set up on Gromm. So, is it just a glitch that Gromm isn't home, even though the rest of the mission is ready, and I am on time?>

You're supposed to avoid being seen by Gromm or Baenlin or killing Gromm.
The only possible idea I have is that something happened when you looted Baenlin (My poor, poor mas-hey, someone has been looking through his pockets), unless it got bugged.
I quicksaved before I dropped the minotaur's head; good thing, too since it missed him the first time.

If it was possible for Tuco to be incorrect, I would say, "Unless I'm wrong, I believe" before the next statement.
there is some quest description that more or less pins the blame on the nord. Who is supposed to be accused of loosening the head or something.

Ok, my bad. Anyway....glad I figured this one out. I went back, and saw an Iron Battle Axe on the floor. Sure sign I had been there before. I am assuming i went there and slaughtered Gromm, and it messed up the DB quest. Sorry.
