Somehow, I accidentally deleted the reference to the art file for furn_de_rug_big_06, so now I get errors that the game can't find "add art file.NIF" or something, and I can't see any way of restoring the original, since it's compressed somewhere. Help?

deactivate that entry in the editor, or copy all the graphics files into your morrowind folder from the CS cd and point it at that.

How do I "deactivate" an entry? All I can find is deleting, which would remove all 352 of those rugs, all across the entire game.

He probably means to go into TESAME or the reference editor in CS (File -> Data Files... -> *YOUR PLUGIN* -> Details) and remove the reference to that rug.
