(IIRC) The good thing about the Brisbane ferries that Scots mentioned is that it's only a few dollars for unlimited rides all day. In Sydney (again IIRC) the ferries are much more expensive and you pay for each leg of the trip. Of course Sydney's ferries go to many more places and the harbour is more of a tourist attraction.
Another thing is Brisbanes buses - I think there's even a free inner city bus! :wot:

Yeah, you can get a daily ticket and basically because you only cover a maximum of 2 zones, that ticket only costs around $3 and you can ride it back and forth as many times as you like. On a nice day it's absolutely packed with tourists as well as commuters though. And yes, there's a free bus - the inner city loop.
