Bricks 'n Tiles: Something Potentially Neat. - by Renzatic

I happened across (
http://www.3d-rekonstruktionen.de/bricksntiles/) this while looking for a couple of brick archway tutorials. I'm at work, so I haven't had the chance to test this out yet. But from what I've gleamed off the few tutorials I've read, it's a pretty feature rich little program.
Considering that tiling itty bitty tiny bricks can be a time consuming pain in the ass, if this thing works as well as I hope it does, it could be a boon for everyone here. When I get home tonight, I'll run it through its paces and see what I come up with. Until then, play with it and (hopefully) enjoy.
Edit: (

Now that I've used it a bit, I can see it being a really useful in some situations. But for quality and style, it won't beat out doing things by hand.
Overall, it's a nifty tool. Everyone should consider grabbing it.

So true, in making normals as well. As I had to reinstall my system I was able to use the Crazybump demo again - the results from the automated presets suck in comparison to my manual method. The only good thing about it is speed.

It can pull out some nice stuff once you learn exactly what does what. But usually, I only use CB for the basic shape foundation. When it comes to doing cracks, bumps, or anything else, I go back to the NV plugin and do a mix of the two.
