It is in alpha stage & it is "pixel art" style. Everything normaly looks like crap at this stage. With good shaders this could be amazing looking - just look at all the minecraft shaders out there.

Damn what a bunch of grumpsters. I saw this also a couple of weeks ago and thought it's a very cool, novel idea. Curious to see where this goes. It's clearly made with the original Thief in mind, the author himself said as much. Bro probably needs to get a backing, or make the original game short enough.

A lot of people enjoy games with deliberately lo-fi aesthetics like Obra Dinn. It's a valid artistic choice and pixel art is well-established in gaming. Personally, I'd take Ben Chandler's lo-fi pixel art over the best photorealism in a game any day.
