I can't really do "breakfast", it's a non-event for me. If we're talking brunch, I'm all over that shit.
Fried mushrooms, fried egg sunny-side up, roast tomato, crispy bacon, good pork sausage, not a fan of baked beans because the sauce slicks through everything.
For the Scottish sidekicks: black pudding, potato scone or fruit pudding.

Yeah, I'm with Scots on the content mostly.
2x eggs, sunny side up.
2x lean bacon, fried til just getting crisp.
2x large mushrooms, fried or grilled.
2x good quality sausages, grilled.
2 slices of toasted seeded wholemeal bread.
2x 1/2 inch thick slices of black pudding, fried.
1 large or 2 small tomatoes, sliced in half, fried or grilled.
1 small serving of baked beans.
Optional 2x hash browns.
Use olive oil for the frying and everything should be cooked SLOW.
Finish with freshly ground black pepper, sea salt and some fresh basil, bruised and soaked in olive oil that you prepare before everything else.
Coffee with the milk in first. Don't burn it.
And don't forget the Heinz tomato sauce on the side.
Damn you people I'm hungry now and I'm just going to bed
Alternatively - porridge with honey. Cook with water, add some cold milk after you've stirred in the honey.
Alternate 2 - sweet soya bean milk with vegetable dumplings and a ketchup-soya dip.
Alternate 3 - rice porridge (rice cooked til soft) with scrambled egg, a dash of soya sauce, fried vegetables (Chinese broccoli, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots) and, and this is important - a small helping of fermented tofu.

Over ice, combine half a glass of tomato juice with a dash of lime/lemon juice, 2-4 dashes of worcestershire sauce, and a shot of vodka. Mix in a little celery salt, pepper, and tabasco to taste. Stir and then garnish with celery stalk, green olive, and pickle spear.
Beer chaser optional.

3 eggs, scramble until mixed. Then pour onto 8-12" diameter pan and cook for a few minutes. While that's cookin, grind up three cheeses and spread the ground cheese into the uncooked side of the egg. Also add chunks of bacon or sausage, and whatever veggies you like. For me, hot red peppers, green onion, tomato, and a hint of garlic salt. JUST A HINT. When side 1 of the eggy mess is beginning to turn brown, take it off of the pan, get a tablespoon of butter and some mushroom chunks, turn the heat up to high, when the butter is melted put the egg back on the pan, but on the other side, so the cheese is now on the pan. Cook until the cheese is slightly brown crispy and melty. Then flip the omlet onto a plate and put anything else on it you like. Top it with sour cream, chives, hash browns or refried beans, and salsa!
Mmmmmm, tell me that sounds aweful, just try.

I never feel like making anything that early in the day, so breakfast tends to be...a lot like Arnold Schwarzenegger's breakfast at the beginning of End of Days.

Left over pasta just about coated with a decent tomato sauce.
With a decent coffee.
Easy way to make a coffee.
Don't mess about with cafetieres and filter machines.
Buy a fine ground espresso coffee. I use Lavassa Crema Gusta
One and a half heaped desert spoons straight in the cup
Add water, just of the boil.
Leave for 2 minutes, add milk.
There you go.
All the grounds sink to the bottom and you have a perfect cup of morning goodness
If you don't use a fine ground coffee you'll get the grounds floating on top and have to filter them through your teeth.
Your only problem will be everyone telling you, you can't use ground coffee in a cup.

Coffee used to be made that way. Boiling water (just off the campfire long enough to stop boiling) a handful of grounds. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes and a dash of cold water to sink the grounds.
Namdrol on 5/2/2010 at 09:38
Yup, water has to be as hot as possible to sink the grounds without scorching them.
