The Thieves show up after you get the exit key from the mechanist secret side tunnel. You use that key to exit through the Thieves' compound. Which was mentioned in the kinda important intro text (not technically a readable, but still...)

Really nice upgrading of textures & AI sounds / speech in this version : the new textures improved the creepy atmosphere.
But there seems to be considerably fewer undead in the central areas, particularly in narrow passages & tight spots - much easier to move around than I remember. (played this time on Hard - will replay on Expert)
Whatever : this one's always a blast to play! :thumb:

I don't seem to be able to find the passage to the linus estate, I got the keepers, the thieves, mechanists and hammers sorted and all objectives done anybody want to point me in the right direction :cheeky: (<- hopeful smile)

Assuming that's the exit, it should be in the Thieves' Guild area. I don't recall exactly where, sorry.

Esme : I'm pretty sure there's no way into the Linus estate - at least I've never found a way in either version.
I've always assumed the "secret tunnel" is the way into the Mech facility. (there couldn't be much there anyway - I was 'only' 200 short of loot.).

I DID, just didn't work. I booted up the game again and it was working fine.

i played on expert and found it alot easyer,but i have played it years ago
only problem i had was finding the mech wall safe,now that is some good texture on that wall safe,like rust red :)
over all great job :)
but a question i got to keepers from water,how do you access them the other way?

I have just started playing this updated version on the hardest level and I think one of the reasons it seems easier is the fact you can actually see where the walls are. Most areas that where unlit in the original fm made it hard for you to see much infront of you. I can see pillers now that I didnt know where there previously, and so able to avoid zombies etc. That being said, I have as yet to finish this version, so I havent an overall opinion about it as yet. I loved the orginal and a tweaked version of the game can only be a compliment to the author and a good excuse to revist a favourite.:thumb:

Nice job on the remake . I don't play fan missions much anymore , but John D. is one of my favorite authors and I couldn't pass this one up . I hope John has moved on to the Dark Mod , it would be great to see that talent in action again .
