Yes, my favorite time waster from the previous games is back. Simply walk up to the brahmin, crouch, and activate. You'll be rewarded by one (1) bovine creature falling over sideways while it moos pathetically in obvious pain. Now look what you did, you vicious bastard. I hope you're proud of yourself. Was kinda fun though, wasn't it? Aha ha ha ha! :ebil: Now go do it again.
Of course I'm going to have to try to figure out if this can be useful. Maybe rolling them down hills to crush hostiles? Drop them off of cliffs? Push 'em into the river for mirelurk bait? Time to experiment...

Poor cows in videogames, their abuse dates back to days of Diablo if not farther...

You probably had your weapon out.

Yeah, that makes sense. You get the animation of using both hands to shove the Brahmin, so a weapon probably would interfere.
BTW the first time I did this was completely by accident. I was trying to see what the beast does if you try to talk to it. Oops.
And for the record, that's not the Real Life method that you use to tip a cow. Do not ask me how I know this...

Having your weapon out in the presence of livestock is a bad idea.
People might get the wrong impression.

I just noticed that pack brahmin can't be tipped, just the "naked" ones. Maybe that was the problem that you were having.

Yes. I don't remember if the first game lets you do it, but you can definitely tip 'em in Fallout 2. Just use the hand/push as if you were trying to get them to move out of the way.
