Well pardners, it's a been a long and dusty trail to get here, but I'm finally announcing my new game.

I'm doing something a lil bit different with this one. Less physics, more system-driven gameplay. Leveling up, clicking on things, eatin' beans. All that stuff. Not sure how it'll be received but I'm enjoying making it. Anyway, give it a wishlist and maybe I'll see ya further on down the bounty trail. Yee haw!

Henke's always been great at picking good tunes for the things he makes, whether it's games or videos.

Oooh having the little guy on bottom left with the map view overlay is such a neat idea, seen that sort of in old school movies but don't think I've seen that in a game before!

Seems pretty elaborate for a game of drawing dicks on the screen. :P

Looks like The Onion knew about your announcement & took the occasion to publish this related commentary.

By Wyatt Ramsey
Well, well, well. What have we got here? Another city slicker who thinks he can waltz into my town and start causin' all sorts of trouble. I'd be careful if I was you, fella. Because however they do things where you're from, 'round here we have our own way of dealin' with criminals, and that's through a rehabilitation-centered restorative justice process.
Let that be a warnin' to all outsiders—you break the law in these parts, you'd best be ready to pay for what you've done through a correctional training method that benefits victims, offenders, 'n the community at large.
Out here, we prefer settlin' disputes the old-fashioned way, by addressin' the harmful impact of a crime head-on, then determinin' what can be done to repair that harm while holdin' the person who caused it accountable for their actions. Lemme tell ya, we don't take kindly to strangers whose idea of restitution relies solely on dehumanizin' punishment.
Mark my words, one wrong step in this town'll land you in a whole heap of social services.

Looks like is fun wandering over and over and over.

Thank you thank you, folks! :)
UFO 50 comparison is high praise. I aspire to make something equally minimalist yet compelling as the strategy games in that. There's also a bit of Fallout 1 influence. I really liked wandering the map in that with no idea where to go yet having the time limit hanging over my head. I've wanted to make something that feels like that for a long time and it's part of the DNA of Bounty Trail.
Announcing a game is always a bit of a roadblock in the development (what with setting up Steam page, website, social media stuff, emailing press, making a trailer and key art, etc), but with that outta the way I'm glad to get back to actually developing this thing. Improved the wanted posters and refined some camera stuff today.
