I'll be in Boston, MA next week for a conference and I'll have 2-3 days free. Any recommendations on what to see or do while I'm there?

My best memory of Boston was making love on the long wharf :>
More practically, the Museum of Fine Arts is great but you'll have to spend a lot of time there.
The freedom trail is a nice walk along some interesting architecture, and it goes through Boston Common & Public Garden, so that is almost a must-do.
The Aquarium is pretty nice if you're into that kind of thing, but crowded at this time of year.
Other things I liked, probably only because I'm european, include the financial district and chinatown. Also Faneuil hall, but only on market days.

I can't speak personally, but one guy I know here is from Boston and has said that Old Ironsides is worth visiting. He also seems to hate the South end for some reason, but its hard to tell from listening to him whether its actually a dump or its just a regional rivalry.

Eat at Dungan Park. That it is all.

1) Go canoeing down the Charles river
2) Go paintballing
Seriously, both were a highlight of my one month cross-country road trip.

.
Is there a reason to go paintballing in Boston instead of just playing paintball on a normal weekend?

Why not combine fett and Briareos's suggestions and eat someone out on the long wharf

My Boston experiences have been primarily confined to the Charles and the bars that are within walking distance. But it's usually fun! See you soon, (

I smell something fishy about that suggestion.
