Wow, dude. That's insane. I'll be praying for you.
Out of curiosity, you mentioned that you can have a second heart transplant after a while to hopefully extend your life past the 10-15 years. What about beyond that? Is there any hope for a third transplant? Fourth?
Second transplants are becoming fairly common, and will hopefully be moreso in the next 10-15 years.
Thanks for all the well-wishes.

Hey fett,
Guess I missed the post where you were coming to Boston... woulda offered some hospitality. Sorry. I don't have an apartment for rent, unfortunately, but if there's anything I can do to help your move, or pass a resume along, or if you need advice or just want to talk about Boston, please PM or email. I may be relocating soon, but if I'm still around when you come here, at least I can roll out the welcome wagon. Best of luck in any case.

I'm not going to have to change your username to Job, am I?

Shit. Although I knew your body would try and reject foreign tissue I must admit I was one of those people who thought it was pretty much a cure all.
So... in 10 - 15 years you could just get your own donor clone right? Seriously though, hoping for the best for you and your family.

Man, the title is literal. Maybe super artificial ones will appear in the mean time.

A friend with severe arythmia had a sleeve put around his heart today that squeezes it in rythym. There have only been about 20 of those done but so far so good. I don't guess one of those would help you maybe? I'm sure they would have said though. The best cardiologists are in Boston. Damn dude. This sort of puts a crimp in my plan to wrestle you for your music collection.
Mark the donor section on your drivers license people.

Essentially not, as by then your physical health probably won't warrant it (as fett implied)
That's pretty much what I was thinking, plus I would imagine that just the process of slicing off the old heart and attaching the new one gets harder the more it's done.

More than likely. Advancements are being made all the time.
