Ok, just found these.
There HAS to be a way to prevent the blindness effect, right?
So far I haven't found any spells that will resist blindness.
Is there some way to enchant something to give blindnes resistance or something??
thanks

Ah, the boots...
Drink a potion or use a spell to boost your magical resistance as high as it will go, then put on the boots. The blinding effect will be counteracted by your higher resistance, but the speed effect still works; and, because the effects are only applied when you equip the boots, you'll still be speedy and unblind when the magic resistance spell wears off. You'll have to repeat the process, though, if you ever take the boots off and put them on again.
Hope that helps!

In all the places I looked at before I started playing there was a message saying "You HAVE to have huge amounts of magic resistance so you can equip these boots, without them the game is unplayable!"
I've never used them. ;)

Go find the Cuirass of the Saviour's hide. Artifact Light Armour with constant-effect 60% resist magicka.
have a look in Tel Fyr
Having a high magic resistance can prove problematic when combined with these. In my most recent game, I couldn't run whilst wearing them as my PC struggled to cope with loading all the news areas. It was very stop-start.

I am not sure why so many players are obsessed with using the BoBS. I think I've tried them once since I've had Morrowind (couple years now). I haven't used them since that one time. I find the game a lot more interesting when I don't zoom to places I need to get to, really. :p

thanks for the advice......
what I ended up doing was making a custom resist-magic spell, 100-100 points lasting for one second.
Due to increadibly short timespan it didnt end up costing very much at all, so I just use this every time I want to put the boots on.

And I don't see how someone can use the BoBS with the blindness effect fully resisted whilst putting them on, and then not find them utterly indespensible. :cheeky: Seriously, conducting all the myriad quests in the games requires a lot of trekking around, and after you've gotten over goggling at all the pretty countryside, you really just want to get where you're going. And, FYI, your speed also effects how fast you fly around when you levitate, not just the number of points of levitation effect you use -- with a speed of 300 (BoBS + personal speed of 100), you can zoom around pretty good with just a single point of levitation.

If you want to zoom around with the boots, go ahead. I just don't use them because they aren't my style. :p

yeah, I know what you mean... they aren't exactly my style either (that is, around town etc). I only use them when I have to cover huge distances, mainly to save my sanity.
