I'm really late to this. Damn it. I'm going to have to start following RBJ around. Damn.

As you're all gathered here, I wondered if you could help me find a song. I don't know its name or the artist and I only know a couple lines of lyrics that are probably wrong. Sounds fun, eh? ;)
I think the lines go something like: "and I shall know him for my saviour when I saw the marks of the wounds". It's not much to go on, but if anyone knows it, I'd be grateful.
PS. this may not even be a blues song, I don't know :(

I get paid today, so the only thing that can stop me from buying some Blues this weekend is childbirth.

Okay, so I went for a cheap first buy and picked up The Universal Masters Collection of John Lee Hooker - 16 tracks of grumbly-vocals and guitar-blues. I really liked it, it's definitely the kind of music you can just slip on and listen to while doing one of a hundred things and no matter what you're doing, it feels better when you're doing it to blues.

It is a matter of taste.I listen too Acoustic guitar blues. As well as Electric. Harmonica and piano. They are all worth a listen too. Some of the old blues singers are really great.:thumb:

I heard some violin delta blues on public radio once that was amazing. I never would have thought of the fiddle as a hard core blues instrument, but whoever it was playing just blew me away. Wish I could remember the name. Anyone who knows something about violin blues, please drop some names.
