P.S. I could be misunderstanding the initial post as well - maybe he
was wanting his thread to turn into a debate. One rarely knows, hmm? - M. :)

I wonder if anyone has written a Politically Correct Bible in the same vein as the folk tales.
I'd love to see John Cleese take a crack at it. \o/

I really should of called this thread 'noah and other grusome bedtime stories' but I was pissed and after a tarty thread title that people would just want to click on. wooops.
Anyhow, I think its pretty impressive how this thread has almost managed to stay mostly friendly. Who'd have thought....(apologies again to zacch and john.d and co for having to answer for all the ills of religion, again.)

But I couldn't resist...
After seeing John Cleese and 'Life of Brian' mentioned...
Anybody remember 'Not The Nine O'Clock News', or at least reruns?

In one sketch in particular, the Pythonites (fanatic followers of the great Monty Python) accuse the Church of blasphemy against the Flying Circus, with lines such as:
"Jesus Christ, I mean, really! Look at the initials, J.C., so clearly in mockery of our lord and comic saviour, John Cleese (litany follows at the mention of JC: '...and may it come to pass that should two or more gather together in a room in silence, they shall perform the parrot sketch')"
