I don't despise or reject them, Zaccheus. I respectfully request that they drop our standards. They may continue to call themselves Jews, if they wish, but not to our face. The reasons here are deeply historical. What would you say about Muslim Jews?

Totally understandable from the Jewish perspective. The Jewish faith largely sees the Christian faith as heretical (just like both the Jews and Christians view the Islamic faith).
However, to Christians, the Christian faith is the progression of the Jewish faith, so it is natural for Messianic Jews to want to maintain their Jewish cultural background. It's the same now as it was 2000 years ago... in fact, early Christian Jews still went to synagogues to worship with non-Christian Jews.
