I don't see why bleeding to death couldn't be a possibility. I know it can't happen for the player but maybe it does in certain situations to AIs.
As he said, there was no other enemies.. no other allies in the area (and from the description of the area that is correct) and he used nothing but a crowbar.
I don't know if bleeding to death can happen but I'm going to experiment with it.

And MiBs always blow up.. I've never seen one lay unconcious.
Defenitely not true. How do you get open the unbreakable file cabinet with the accounts and passwords of all the UNATCO people without getting the nanokey from the MIB?

If an NPCs' hit points are low enough, getting shot with a tranq dart will indeed kill. I discovered this when trying to tranq MiBs -- too much other damage, and they blow up (that is, die).
At what percentage must the hit points be? I just tried for myself a minute ago and managed to get an NSF soldier down to 12% via 10mm. One poison dart knocked him out it instantly.
EDIT: Just tried again on Walton Simons. I got him down to 1% with the pistol and then finished him off with a poison dart directly to the head. Still unconcious. I can't see how you can get it much lower than that.

Maybe your right, it's been a few months since i've played. I have finished on realistic several times, but last time was atleast a year ago. Been mainly playing around with the level editor and multiplayer. So I may be mistaken.

I'll be damned! I had no idea you could do that. I never thought to try the keyring on the cabinets to see if keys existed for them . . . I wonder how many other places I've missed. :o

MiB's are easy to knock unconscious, a couple stings from the ol' prod and it's over. It's commandos that are a pain to KO... I've only ever managed it with the baton(!), and that's not always easy.

Commandos go down in one Riot Prod zap if they're unaware of you and you hit them at the sort of hatch thing just above their arse. That's what I seem to remember, anyway, it's been a while since I played. :(

You can save your prod ammo and just use the baton on the Commandos, as long as you are a Master in Low-Tech. Master may not even be required, but I don't remember whether it will work at lower skill levels.
You can also use the baton to knockout MIBs, but IIRC, I had to turn on Combat Strength for it to work.
Pyrian on 20/9/2006 at 23:53
I found some commandos wouldn't go down to one baton hit even at master with combat strength. I'd have to try to hit them again, which was dangeroud because on realistic you don't last long against them at point blank even with augs...
