If he is [a replicant] then the final confrontation and indeed most of the film loses alot of its power.
What? Deckard being a replicant makes the ending a Shakespeare-like tragic irony and you think that some pseudo intellectual idea about the value of life is more powerful?

Not all replicants of the same base class have the same strength and intelligence. The movie makes this quite clear.
/one basic pleasure model, please
And yet Priss (the peasure model, if memory serves) was also super agile and super strong (at least more than Deckard...but then it seems almost everyone and their mom, save Rachel, whup Deckard's ass).
Hmmm...I do believe they, overall, made the Nexus-6 stronger/smarter than normal humans, if memory serves, I think it was mentioned, and Roy's crew were all Nexus-6, right?
Great stuff...

High MrDuck, for your information;
Pris was physical level A (mental: B)
Roy was Physical: A, Mental: A
Leon physical: A, mental: C
Zhora physical: A, mental: B
Basically they were all of the highest physical grade, the only variation was in their mental capacity, hence why they
all handled Deckard like a rag doll.

And considering Priss was a pleasure model meant for service in off-world military bases, it makes sense for her to be pretty damn strong.

She may have been meant for other replicants to get with and wind down after a hard day's work. She and Roy'd probably fell in Replicant love as a result. "Rooooxanne...!"

I figured there had to be differences, but, yup...I was right, they were all beefy fuckers :)
Now Rachel and Deckard...tsk...

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this upthread but Ridley Scott has stated several times that Deckard WAS a replicant.
I'm so looking forward to this new dvd, it's not even funny! \o/
I have the game and replay it every now and then. They captured the mood and the look of several of the sets--the police station, Chinatown, The Tyrell Building--brilliantly. It's great fun to use the VK machine and the photo enhancer, too. :D

And Lucas has stated that Han shot first. Meh.
If you go by what's on screen, it's ambiguous. There are several strong hints that he's a replicant, but the movie never comes out and says it.

Leave it to ZylonBane to not know how to take a hint.

Interestingly, in the final cut, a crucial line of dialog was changed. 6 nexus 6 models escaped, and now we're told that 2 of them were killed trying to break in to the Tyrell corp. So the only thing left is the whole unicorn thing, and even that was downplayed in this cut.
Still, the final line of dialog is possibly my favorite from any movie.
