And we wouldn't have the actor who played him saying he's not a replicant.
Dear god man you can't have it both ways.
edit: To provide a little background, my stance on the Deckard replicant issue is

Well, although the movie is only loosely based on 'Do Androids...'. Deckard is certainly not a replicant in the book. That's probably the reason why I never really accepted the thought that he could be a replicant in Blade Runner. The way I see it, they just wanted to make the whole issue very ambiguous, as if to show how thin could be the line that separates a human from a replicant, and therefore emphasise Deckard's moral struggle when performing his job.

Then it's fortunate that I'm only arguing ONE way-- that it's ambiguous. Maybe he's a replicant, maybe he isn't. There's support out there for either conclusion.
Personally I appreciate this, but I can see how simpler minds would not.

I'm pretty sure arguing online about Bladerunner already places one firmly in the "simpler minds" category.

I'd have to agree with that.
The beauty is in the doubt. Sure there are hints, but that's all they are.

If Deckard being a replicant really was so obvious, there certainly wouldn't have been almost 30 years worth of debate over whether he's a replicant or not, now would there?
Of course there would. :p This is the internet, where we're beating a dark-red splotch on the ground where the remains of a horse once was.

Oh man I wrote the book on debating trivial shit. And misspelling "Blade Runner"

This is getting off topic a bit, but if anyone enjoyed Blade Runner as much as I did they might enjoy Ergo Proxy. It's similar in setting, Ergo Proxy being in a dark, gritty post-apocalyptic future, and the method of storytelling is the same although one thing I can't stand is the way Ergo Proxy starts every episode in medias res. It touches on the same issue about what it means to be human, what is society and how does it relate to the ego/self, and man's corruption in an absence of divine intervention. The story is very confusing in the beginning and a lot of what you see doesn't make sense until the end of each episode, with everything not quite making sense until the very last one, where it's all tied together.
