CUT THE DEAD SOME SLACK CATBARF
Hell no. Why should I prance about and pretend that every person who just died was a wonderful person?
It especially pisses me off when a child dies and its on the news, it's the same old shit- 'He was a wonderful and talented student, and knew how to make everyone smile'. Bullshit. Eulogies are pure bullshit.

"Beyoncé's publicist said he hadn't seen the spot and declined to comment."
Should've just said he had no comment, because nobody's buying that BS about him not having seen it. It's quite a handful to explain, so I don't blame him for not wanting to comment, though. I'd bet that Knowles would've flipped out if it was photoshopped the other way around, like it happened to OJ.

I would say they are more half-truths really and while I won't deny some cynicism on my part when reading those types of articles, I'm fine with that as it's part of the grieving process. Are you really advocating 100% brutal honesty in eulogies? What would that accomplish really apart from making people in a very emotionally distressing time feel even worse just so that eulogies conform to some standard you have deemed correct?
