Alright here is a problem, everything on my map west of Vivec is black on the mini map, yet, it wasn't when I first started out. Everything else (east of Vivec) shows up fine. Can anyone tell me why and hopefully how to fix it? Thanks.

Please help me if you can.

Just exit the game (all the way to desktop) and restart. Maybe restart the computer before that, too. These glitches happen all the time and fix themselves.

Or you can drink a bottle of sirap and dance all night

True, but greater apparations would require nothing short of an exorcism.

It's funny how the map has glitches sometimes. I have also noticed that if I Alt+Tab to desktop during the gameplay (something I certainly don't recommend unless you saved your position fairly recently), the newly discovered portions of the map would disappear.

Things like that used to happen to me until I updated my video card drivers, then the map worked fine.

Thanks for your suggestions guys, but I am on an xbox, so I can update anything. I guess I will just have to live with it, but that is ok. I pretty much know where everything is becuase I have beat the game once so I will survive.

it shouid have a peice of paper with ''warning'' on inside the Morrowind xbox box when you buy it, it'll explain that the local & world map can get mixed together and turn black(thats probably what has happend in your case) ,in my case though it just screwd my whole map, anyway it shouid explain how to fix many glitchs that happen in this version of the game!
The little piece paper i'm on about explains to press whilst the ''start'' message comes up..left trigger button, white button, and right trigger button simultanesly, then release.wait a few seconds, and then restart the xbox game console!,when you power it up again your map shouid work again! ;)

If you play Morrowind in it's own window (at 800 x 600. It also runs faster like this) you can alt+tab without any problems. But if you play it full screen then Morrowind will crash when you Alt+Tab back.
