I have a monitor that will sometimes fail to display anything except a blank screen. It usually goes like this when the monitor was set to stop displaying after a while of idleness, or the computer was turned off or set to sleep. Sometimes it will behave like this when it is turned on. It is unresponsive to the power button, and the only way to rectify this is to unplug the monitor and then replug it.

Any idea what the issue is?
