Hi.
A friend of mine is having a problem with Acrobat 9 and a font. Essentially, he's using this Hebrew font (it's completely free and can be embedded), and it shows up fine on Word, but after he converts the file into a pdf, the font doesn't show up on the pdf - it's missing completely, there's not even weird characters or anything. When he opens up the file properties in Acrobat, the font is on the list and it says it's embedded in the document, but yet it's not actually there. I have the same font on my computer, and it works fine. Anyone know what the problem could be?

I have no idea what it could be but my guess is that it is some problem with the conversion. He is using Acrobat to convert to a pdf from a Word document correct?

Yeah, he's converting directly from Word 2007

Maybe he could try a different program to do the conversion and see if that works?

Does it still look OK in Word's Print Preview mode? What exactly he does to create PDF? Does he use a button from MS Word, or prints it to a virtual printer, or uses 'Create PDF' from Acrobat? Does the problem still persists if he changes the font to Arial Unicode MS or some other standard one?

Not sure. Next time I talk to him we'll try it out and see
