Well, I've messed it up. Just going through my House Redoran quests, but it seems I've already been through Caldera and "misplaced" the Secret Ledger that I'm meant to give to... erm... the guy in Ald-Ruhn.
Does anyone know the item code for the "Caldera Secret Ledger"? I don't have the editor installed and i lent the cd to a friend.

Oh, and does anyone know where I can get a daedric tower shield? I hear they have an insane enchant value....

Use the command: player->additem, "ITEMNAMEGOESHERE", 1
Daedric Tower Shield: The only people that regularly carry Daedric tower shields are Golden Saints. So, go digging around Daedric shrines, I suppose. Alternately, buy the "Summon Golden Saint" spell from the guy in the tower at Tel Branora. Then have a mage make you a Summon Golden Saint amulet (you don't have enough manna to cast the spell yourself). Try and use a high value trapped soulgem to make your Golden Saint amulet, so you can have the longest time possible to kill the Saint. I used (IIRC) the Winged Atronach Grand Soul Gem from the Bosmer chick on the top floor of the Balmora Mages Guild, and I was able to max out my Golden Saint time at about 35 seconds. (Note: if you steal that, do NOT have her try and make the amulet - it'll end poorly.) Once you've got your amulet, find a safe place and start conjuring up Saints, waiting for one carrying a Daedric Tower Shield. Now, when they die, they will vanish almost immediately. But, if you're fast, you can frob them a second BEFORE they hit the ground, and pillage their inventory that way. A little cheap, but it works. Note: sometimes trying to frob a dead summoned enitity before they vanish can make the game crash to desktop.
Or, if you're a big cheating cheater, use the console command player->additem, "daedric_towershield", 1

I'm not a cheat, I was just wondering if there was an actual set location for a daedric tower shield in the game. I know I found a daedric Claymore sticking out of a pile of skulls in a Cave beyond the ghost fence. It was really clever actually, there was a huge pointy rock that was impossible to climb. Upon levitating to the top, I found a pile of skulls and this great big sword sticking out the top!
Needless to say, a paralysis enchantment later and I suddenly have i.m.o one of the best swords in the game! Pity about the weight though :(

Other than Unique Shields, Daedric Tower shields only appear (1 in 20 chance) on Golden Saints.
