History isn't left or right and you miss a lot looking just one way. Not long ago a small country the size of my state nearly took over the world and all people can do is focus on the bad. Why study one facet of a diamond? What a waste. Our current obsesssion with pc just takes threads out of a rich historical tapestry.
Also nearly every US whitey has some injun in them. In a century or two everyone will have everything in them. I wonder what we will pc about then. Hell, they got rid of the colonel reb mascot at Ole Miss. Replaced him with a "black" bear lolfs. The least they could do was drag him onto the field blindfolded and shoot him honorably.

Kind of funny how talking about buffalo meat turns into a political argument.
If you're serious about actually doing this, might I suggest actually working on a bison farm? As with any blue-collar job, any theory or reading is not going to serve you anywhere near as well as getting actual experience with the day to day tasks involved with that job. It also would be a pretty big career change, so at the very least you need to visit a ranch or get to know some ranchers in order to make sure that this is something you actually would enjoy before you take any further steps.

Kolya's wall-o-text makes a lot of sense. I'd wondered why the Germans in particular seem to like to bitch about how shitty the US has been to the Indians.
I just always assumed that it was a matter of guilt over that whole Nazi thing, and a desire to find something in America's background that was equally morally reprehensible in order to balance it out.
