I like to tinker with settings, turns out radeon pro doesn't translate appropriately to screenshots in some cases.

Here's a cool thing I discovered: You can hack vending machines with the seduction plasmid... or whatever it's called. You get a bit of money (~25-50) and prices lower a bit. It lasts until you switch maps.

You get a bit of money (~25-50) and prices lower a bit. I'm sure I never noticed prices being lowered. I made a point of checking before and after, as well. Is this an upgrade to the vigor, or did I just not try it on expensive enough machines to see the difference?

I could swear it did but I might be misremembering.

So, beat it. Heck of a ride. Running through a second time and noticing a bunch of things that I didn't catch the first time. Like the statue of the 'twins' changing gender in the first area, and the woman at the turnstile in Battleship Bay identifying Elizabeth as Anna.
Also realized that the gear that gives you melee fire element sets off combos as if it were devil's kiss. Between it and Deadly Lunge, Bucking Bronco goes from a quick cheap disabler to a dirt cheap instant fire explosion combo.

I briefly turned on the combat text popups, it looked so retarded and immersion breaking that I immediately turned it off. It works in Borderlands, but here? Yeah nah.
Later I enabled on the "loot glint" (or whatever the hell they call it in this game), it was subtle and Thief-esque, perfect. Deus Ex: HR should done this instead of the god awful yellow outlines. (I disabled it again later, of course.)
Also it's been a while since I played a post-CoD4 action game with such useless melee attacks (the last one was Mass Effect 2). It might just be because enemies are damage sponges on 1999 mode though.

Looks like Ken Levine finally made an ending that didn't suck! Infinite is pretty good. Much better than Bioshock, although it really could have used more sky rails, and sky rails as a means of progression. They really shoe horned you into corridors too much, and the game plays like trash in the indoor sections. The shooting is still pretty faulty, and iron sights are completely useless and offer no benefit over using hip fire.
Parts of the game are pretty underwritten, makes it feel a little shallow, and the world itself feels really under developed. I wish both Elizabeth and Booker would shut up, but they never stop pointing out the obvious. I didn't like either of them, and some of Elizabeth's behavior is really...jarring. Why is she always skipping and strolling about like nothing is wrong? Especially after seemingly traumatic or stressful events, she always skips along and her dialog indicates something is seriously upsetting her. Pretty damn uncanny.

Maybe because despite the fact that shit is blowing up and people are dying, she spent the entire fucking rest of her life in a tower with nothing but a giant man eating bird for company, thus making this the best time of her entire life anyway?
