So I've been playing the game for a good two hours and am about to meet Elizabeth (I think). So far the game has been interesting although things haven't really begun to pick up yet. So far, my only complaint right now is the lack of a lean function. I can't tell you how many gun fights I've been in so far where I wish I could simply lean out and fire off a few shots rather than expose my entire body. Anyways, its getting late so I'm going to hit the sack for now. I'll pick up where I left off later in the today when I'm free to do so.

Absolutely agree with you there regarding a lean function; most of the early fights are crying out for it.
My thoughts after 3 hours:
* It's a goddamn screenshot generator.
* I am eating all of the things.
* Irrational really needed to get more variety into the civilian NPC faces.
* The shooting is much, much better than Bioshock's. Guns have a bit of punch to them now.
* Also much more variety of pacing compared to Bioshock.
* 1999 mode is proper hard although not really in a survival horror way.
* It's great playing a character with a voice. Booker's surprised reactions to much of the events thus far have matched my own.
* The story is extremely intriguing. Not just the main stuff either.
* The zipline thingees are really fun to use and you've got a flexibility with them too.
* Quite a bit of exploration for what is basically a linear shooter.
Overall I'm very impressed and am looking forward to getting back into it tomorrow.

I figured it would be done preloading before I got home from work, but no, fucking 90%. Suck a cock, Steam.

Playstation Network has a one-hour, timed demo up. DL'ing now. (I am changing out my timing belt and water pump this week, so no BS:I for me this week.)

That would be the only talent curve ever that wasn't a decreasing exponential curve.
The right edge of a bell curve is usually a a decreasing exponential curve, the left edge is reciprocal.
Jason Moyer on 26/3/2013 at 11:55
Yes, but I'm talking about a normal depreciating exponential curve, where all of the people are jumbled in a giant mass on the lowest end of the talent scale. That's pretty much the way talent in anything is distributed, I can't imagine driving is any different. If you draw a vertical line near the right hand of the curve you'll have all of the people who are talented enough to drive formula one cars, if you draw one on the left side you'll have all of the people who can't drive a street car (which is designed for an idiot to be able to use it) at 40mph without occasionally running into things. Which is almost everybody.
