So a number of individuals have been going around and spoiling the plot to Infinite on a number of forums...
You refer to them as 'individuals' almost as if you wouldn't want to be associated with them or that kind of thing.

Well these individuals, such as Engin Ayhan on the irrational forums, who were posting on the irrational, gamespot, and wikipedia pages were putting spoilers in thread titles as well as in replies to threads that dealt with things aside from the games plot without the use of any spoiler tags. I was one of those who stumbled upon one of these replies in a thread that I didn't expect to see any spoilers in. Even then, I'm more puzzled by what was said than anything else as what was said simply strikes me as being odd.
Since there are people on here who claimed that they do not intend to get the game, I was curious as to what their thoughts may be on this ending if this is in fact how the game will actually end. At least I'm giving a heads up in my previous post as well as using spoiler tags. However, if other think that this is still inappropriate given that the game has yet to be released, I will gladly delete my post.

Do we have any reason to actually believe any of these people?

No, but I've seen the same exact phrase splashed on a number of forums including the Infinite wikipedia page before these claims are censored and removed which leads me to think that there may be some credence to what was being said. On the other hand, it could just be an attempt to remove any groundless speculation until the game is finally released. I guess we will all find out later on this Tuesday.

My thoughts are that, even though my current laptop won't be playing BI anytime soon, I'd rather not spoil or even potentially spoil for anyone who might want to enjoy the game. My freedom to be able to discuss plot spoilers (or just to post spoilers on the interenet 'cos I can) kinda probably not being so special that I'd want to upset someone else's freedom to enjoy the game unspoiled.
And I don't think anyone could discuss the spoilers in any meaningful way out of the context with the rest of the game anyway.
p.s Don't look, but I think you're a
nicer person if you edit your post.
