Dishonoured had some of the best art direction of this generation.

Look, both games are steampunk, so it's easy to reflect how the world setting was realized in these games. Steampunk can be awesome, but it is hard to pull out. In case of Dishonored it's just too dark and grim in uninteresting way, and without athmosphere... Which was so incredible in previous Arkane Studios games! Maybe art director was just bad or they overdone their grey dark theme.
You disgust me.

Please stop... Maybe you also liked Guild Wars 2 art style?

You have got to be trolling.

Can't say I really see the connection. A really distinctive and comprehensive visual style verses a pretty but fairly generic one?

Reminds me of some of the Dharma Initiative stuff in Lost - and yes, I definitely like the style. It's got a playfulness that's rare in video game trailers.

So remind me again why scripted shooters have no place in gaming? They cannot all be open-ended, nor should they be imho.
Because they are supposed to be games, not movies. Games are about interactivity and exploration, and FPS genre especially always was and is defined by exploration of the labyrinth maps.

 You're probably just trolling, but I'll give this a straight answer. Games are about interactivity, but exploration is only one aspect of interactivity. Some FPS games have extensive exploration. Many have very little, or basically none at all (walking down a corridor). FPS are about shooting - that's the central interaction, right in the name. If you want a first-person-explorer, there are FPS that meet that, but many do not (and no small number of non-FPS that do, for that matter).

Got to admit that trailer is pretty cool. Probably have to explain to the whipper snappers what 70s-80s PBS documentaries were like non stop, but it's worth it for some style.
