Hey, I've just bought this game ^^ Unlucky I can't enjoy it ;p I didn't have any problems with installing game, or starting it. But Bioshock freezes when I enter to the Bathyscaphe and start to go underwater. It freezes exactly when the board for film projection pop up.
It's even more interesting, because it's something with this board ;p When I don't look at it (for instance watching very interesting wall behind me instead) game doesn't freeze (I can watch at the town though) ^^ But unfortunately it isn't the only place when it happens ;p I have to do same trick right after first autosave (just for sec, I can watch poor Johny ^^), and later I can play a bit. But freezing happens sometimes (but not always) when I want to get something from the body/box etc., it also happened when I was taking radio for the first time or watching lamp above me in the bathyscaphe instead of wall ^^ Plus it can happen any other time, but it happens much more often at places like these.
I tried to play at the highest and at the lowest graphic - no difference (except better/worse graphic ofc ;p).
My computer (laptop from Toshiba):
Core 2 Duo 2,2 gHz
Ati Radeon HD 2600
2 Gb Ram
Windows Vista
I've updated Bioshock to 1.1 ver, I've also updated DirectX, OpenAL, drivers for Graphic Card and even Shockwave Flash Played (don't know why but I thought that maybe it's something with it ^^). I also tried to play Bioshock in compatibility to Win Xp and Dx9, I disabled Tablet options in my Win Vista, and deleted some codec packs I had installed earlier.
Now I rly don't know what to do ^^ I was really looking forward for this game and now after buying it I can't make it work :/ Freezing stuff happens much to often for even trying to play. I hope someone here can help me ^^
