Hi all Deus Ex experts, does anyone know how to reduce the rate of bioenergy drain or even fix it? I found bioenergy using up too fast on some augmentations. Thanks a lot for your insights. ;)

Often, an upgrade of that aug will help (for example the invisible thingy), and there's that energy-saving part, which helps you oo, if you turn it on...
But, actually, I usually run around with 30 energy cells, and no need to recharge... maybe altering your gameplay could help, too... (if you want that)

Could you please tell me where that energy saving part is?

Example in stealth aug. When you use your upgrade cannisters and upgrade the aug, it will reduce the draining amount.

I understand that. So other than upgrading the aug, there is no way to reduce the drain rate, right?

Both stealth augmentations, Cloaking and Radar Transparency, use less energy when upgraded. Others become more efficient so you don't have to use them as long to get the same effect, like Regeneration and Spy Drone. That "energy saving part" is a torso augmentation called Power Recirculator. While active, it reduces the energy consumption of all augmentations, and the more you upgrade it, the more it reduces the energy consumption. That's one of the last augmentations you'll find, though. (Unless you're skipping a lot of them by not searching enough.)
Until then, just try to keep all your augs turned off until you actually need them. For example, don't activate your Combat Strength until you're ready to swing and turn it off as soon as the target goes down. Don't walk around with Ballistic Protection active just because you have it. Switch it on just before you walk into a firefight, like you would with the Ballistic Armor. If you only activate your augs when you really need them, you'll find that you have more bioelectric cells than you know what to do with, even without the Power Recirculator.

Thanks very much for your advice!:thumb:

You will be able to get the Power Recirculator at the end of the Hong Kong missions. The augmentation canister also contains the Synthetic Heart which upgrades all augmenations. I strongly recommend the Power Recirculator and not the Synthetic Heart.

Me too! I had that choice. I screwed up.
