Sounds familiar actually. But if I recall they even eventually bunged Kung Fu on Saturday morning just because they had nothing to put between the midday movie and the 6AM-onwards cartoon marathon running dry at about 11.
Aus TV was good/bad like that.

Who hasn't gone to Bangkok and woken up in a hotel bed naked with a cord wrapped around his neck and other body parts? You think they're women, take a few tentative licks, and boom it's the next day, everything's gone, and you've got a pounding headache. Boy, do I know the feeling! ... Except for the not-waking-up part. Sad news.
Kill Bill was a bit scatter-brained for me, but Carradine played his character fantastically.
Edit: oh, wrote that obviously before I read the "believed suicide" part. Hmm, just sounded so much like a ladyboy gang mugging from the first description, or at least an accident while fooling around. Still does; a little too elaborate and out-of-the-way for a suicide, doesn't it seem? But probably just better to leave it be if we don't know all the facts.

Shame to see him go, shame to see him go. That said though, hanging yourself with a cord hardly seems like the most elaborate thing you could do. At the very least, it was hardly a cry for attention like jumping off a building would be.
It all strikes me as very sudden come to think of it, I can't imagine how many people he pissed off, or who would want him dead this late in age. Then again, it's not all too obvious what would have been the kicker to make him want to kill himself either...
I recommend a TTLG investigation! To Bangkok!
