All I want is for the "Create New Folder" button to move away from the "Go Up One Level" button. :(
Have you considered an Explorer replacement? I've been using the Powerdesk 5 free version for years. Among other things, it lets you completely reorganize the buttons, much like Outlook. But I love it for the "Open a command prompt in this folder" button.

Nothing to do with chunky fingers... I have ten pencils stuck to my hands, they're so long and thin. And I've never yet met a shell replacement that I could stand.
No, this is a pure pebcak thing, and I just felt like whining about it.

I wish that when a file or program is in use, Windows would TELL you what's using it if you try to delete it.

We may have to move to Vista later on. New Motherboards/Graphics cards and all that, will probably only work on the newer OS in a couple of years. I had to change from 98 because nothing installed properly as it wanted a later version of windows! :p I'd probably still be using 95 if my system would work with it!

I wish they would just fucking hurry up and get some decent audio sequencers made for Linux so I can get out of this fucking Microsoft hell hole with its ridiculously fancy GUI with ALPHA and ANIMATED MENUS and all kinds of shit only a child would find worthwhile.
Your only way out is to get someone with lots of money to buy you a Mac. Besides, you can turn all that crap off. Mostly. Well, could be worse...

I'm thinking that there are only two reasons for me to 'upgrade' to Vista:
1) Games
2) Learning to fix it so I can make money off people who still can't RTFM
Since every year sees fewer and fewer games I actually want to play, reason 1 will be pretty much irrelevant by the time Vista becomes a system requirement.
As for hardware support, Linux seems to be keeping up nicely anyway.
Which reminds me: at some point, I really need to get hold of a Mac.

Yeah. I'm in Windows Classic mode at all times, with all fancy shmancy crap turned off. I just get this horrible feeling that they are going to start phasing it out and leave users without a choice. A decent operating system should provide a low-resource, fast and well designed GUI with the option to expand it and pretty it up through a set of themes, skins and addons.
