Ok, I just got through killing this mage and now 2 of my stats are in red (Str & End). The problem is that I have no adverse effects showing. I have tried resting, restore strength (only lasted for a while), cure pretty much everything and nothing seems to help.
So what do I do now?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, as I always reload if it happens to me, but I think you can restore it permanently in the Temples.

It's a decremental spell to your statistics... simply...
get a restore attribute potion, spell, or blessing(From temple)
This doesn't constitute as a big problem..

Like I said the potions of restore didn't work.
It is true though that temples can restore your stats. I don't know if every temple can do this but the 2 I've tried so far worked for me.

Restore Attribute spells' effects are permanent (much like Restore Health or Damage Attribute are permanent, in that the change is not removed when the duration expires), and not subject to duration (much like Drain or Fortify Attribute, where when the effect's duration expires, your attribute returns to whatever the permanent value is).
You mentioned that Restore Strength only lasted for a while, which suggests to me that perhaps you used a Fortify potion by mistake? Or, mayhap the attribute was damaged enough that a Restore potion wouldn't full heal it? It could also be that the Restore potion was crappy. :)

The Restore Attribute spells work.
Sometimes you have to cast a few times tho. So far Strength and Endurance are the ones I get hit with the most. I bought the spells to restore, but had to make one for Strength. I'm sure some one sells it, but I got tired of hunting.

If your attributes go down again after using a restore potion/spell, then you have a curse on you and should get it dispelled at a temple shrine. Though curses' have a negative effect icon in the bottom of the screen, along with constant effects, diseases, etc.
