God doesn't hate people...people do. :p

:laff: The word "image", in that phrase, has never been understood. This is the first time I've seen it used that way, BA. I like it. Very outside-the-box.

Yeah.:nono:
Anyway, "image", as it's used here, is about visual appearance, visual representation. It's not like "CD image" where we are talking about information. Image as in how humans look, separate from motives, feelings, intent, actions, thought, etc.
GAHHH! Religious thoughts! Where are the Thought Police?
And by the way, anybody in a position to influence children--directly or indirectly, intentionally or unintentionally, by show of example, etc.--can become, create, or use anything as a source of ethical values. The older brother and his porn collection, the kid in fourth grade who chews tobacco, the foul-mouthed father, the derisive teacher, the coach who picks on the "weak", the kid who gets beaten at home and takes it out on his peers, the babysitter, the naughty nanny, the botanist family with the hydroponics, the musician, the automechanic with the twenty vehicles in his yard, the kid who keeps stealing bikes, the distant parent, the sociopathic parent, the paranoid parent, the cheek-pinching grandma, the chain-smoking aunt, the gleefully farting grandpapa-oom-pah-pah.... Oh yeah, and the religious cult family.

My children, stop this bickering and worship me instead!
Put your faith in the duck, and all your prayers will be answered (if you donate enough cash for our cause to consider it).
Amen.
Also, the Thought Police are heretics unto mine eyes, so they were sent to the Not-so-nice-place(Tm).
A MIRACLE!, I STAND AT THE BEGGINING OF PAGE 2!!!

When it comes to taking ethical inspiration from the Bible, it's like any other book - a wise man can take a lot of good inspiration from it and a stupid man can take a lot of bad inspiration from it.
