Sadly, you seem to have missed the point of what I wrote.
I don't really give a shit about the believers, and never have, as I've already written them off as hopeless fucktards who have to figure it out for themselves. I think I've made it abundantly clear that I have little but scorn and derision for the choice of aligning one's self with organized religion.
But for those who aren't too far gone, or are exploring their own seeds of doubt, highlighting the stupid superstitions is but one way of lighting the way towards a logical path of reason.
And wicked is a retarded, loaded term, but the fact is, the orthodox religious perspective IS dying, and it's not merely swinging back and forth. Looking through the prism of history, you'll see that periods of enlightenment unfettered by superstition are becoming more common, more widespread, and longer lasting. As peoples become less insulated from each other due to the nature of the modern world, reason wins over superstition. Sunlight really is the best disinfectant.

Well I only read the first post back on page 1, by GorgonsEye or whatever the name was, and since I get kicked out of whatever chatroom I say this stuff in, why not here. Religion is a tool to keep people good and afraid. That way they stay in-line. Religion is for cavemen (and cavewomen) THIS MEANS CHRISTIANS TOO!!! I'm quite sick of Christians going 'oh yeah, religion is silly'... IT'S A RELIGION TOO!!!! You're all cavemen!! (and cavewomen) All of these issues and problems that arise from all the diverse religions are very human things. But I agree with the Gorgon, morals should be home grown from some deep-rooted knowledge of right-and-wrong, not installed via religious fear. Also, if 600 million Muslims (I don't actually know how many there are) are going to hell, because, despite their moral-soaked righteous existence, they missed out on some schismed-off pagan messianic prophesy that ONLY A CAVEMAN (or cavewoman) WOULD BUY INTO, well... damn. What a God he/she/it must be. Wake up world. Rage makes my thoughts unorganized. But we need to purge the world of this plague called religion. Find me. Together we can undo or at least halt the mistakes these atrocities perpetuate and pave a better way for future generations. No more psycho Christian advertisers pimping their sick ideologies with the glazed-over eyes of a human too-far-gone. No more exploding zealots killing women and children, securing an inheritance of hate and revenge for yet another generation. No more lies!!! Join me or be eaten by your gods.

While he is rather vehement, I don't see anything in his post that you could say is actually incorrect. Aside from that whole 'caveman would buy into it' thing, which is perfectly explained by social conditioning.

He's being a hateful bigot, and lumping incredible and wonderful people into the same group as those who commit atrocities and blame it on a god. His rant sounds pretty black and white to me. It sounds like he thinks he's right, when he's only partially correct and is in severe need of rational thinking, and to get out of his cave, drop the damn club, and see that there will always be corrupt people in positions of power who will exert their own will upon others, and religion is one category out of hundreds. This is why people need to research for themselves and challenge their own agendas. The ideas, as presented, do not cover the spectrum of humanity found in all areas of society, including religious belief. The post contains a hacking machete of a philosophy that, if acted upon, will be as disgusting, horrific, and primal as "ethnic cleansing". The hypocrasy of a man blind to his own failings and moral degradation.
The rejection of morals because of their association with religion has resulted in a clear demonstration of why people need SOME damn reason to control themSELVES. I've yet to hear of any invention of man that gives a person a reason to NOT hurt somebody else that doesn't involve rules for punishment--written and unwritten. Different people have different ideas about acceptable behaviors. Without laws, from SOME source of ANY authority, people will act as cavemen. Stop blaming your actions on someone or something else.
