Visually stunning but severely lacking in plot and the few bits of dialogue are so shallow as if the author derived them from an early video game as well.

I watched this with gray the other day. I liked the visuals and the effects, but there wasn't much story at all.

Enjoy We Are The Strange, you silly taffers :)
That isn't possible.

I had fun, though I will admit it does slow a bit to a crawl at times, and despite having almost no trouble following the plot, (what little there is) sometimes it does go way, way left field. Still, I loved the visual style :)
Let us hope Mr. Strange develops a more coherent storyline next time. Still, one Hell of an effort.

Yeah, I tried to watch it, but I couldn't get into it at all. I think the guy who made it was on acid or something, and the viewers are left feeling like watching someone else tripping, rather than being immersed in their own mind exploration.

an immense achievement in filmmaking, creating something so visually stunning while being so incredibly boring. Nothing really to hook you into any kind of storyline.

I didn't really watch very much of it, but is this what it looked like; ie an entire movie made from early nineties goth/industrial nighclub decor?
Hmmm, ok.

Yes, it is impressive that one guy managed to do all this himself, but to what end? The script is appalling and the voice acting sub-amateur. There is no real directing or storytelling on display, and all text is riddled with embarrassing typos. The only real debatable quality the film has is its visual style, but I'd argue even that tends to be murky and ugly.
And what's with the subtitles? I'm guessing M Dot got feedback that the dialogue was difficult to follow and decided that instead of redubbing lines--you know, what a real filmmaker would do--he'd just toss in half-assed subtitles that cover up a third of the screen. Yeah, that'll do.
Congrats, youtube now has its very own Uwe Boll.
