What? Alright, let's get one thing straight, I think the YMNTD he linked to was fucking shit. That's not the question here. I was debating wether it's a legitimate thread or not.
Yeah...but to get meta on your ass for a second here, the claim that this thread is illegitimate and did not need to exist is a common form of negative reception designed to encourage people like Renegen from not posting pointless, boring drivel. If it helps you get through the day you could just mentally replace every instance of "stop posting pointless threads about ytmnd" with "stop posting".

I eagerly await your next thread on AYBABTU.
Did I say posting Old Hat is excusable? Unless you're new here, it ain't. If I wanna find out what the TTLGers think about something that's been around for a while I'll do a forum search, as I often do. This particular YTMND, on the other hand, is (probably) rather obscure and unlikely to show up on any searches. TBH I haven't checked, I'm just guessing.
Vigil, alright. Of course I knew what StD was
really saying and I had no problem with that. What I did have a problem with was him insulting Lettishead for taking him literarily. Or WAS Lettishead taking him literarily? Maybe he too saw what StD was saying and was simply disagreeing - on the meta-level - through an equally convoluted post. And what is StD's response to this? AN INSULT! No explanation. Not, that is, untill I confront him on it at which point he starts talking about posting in other threads AND NOT that he was simply disagreeing on the meta-level LIKE MAYBE JUST MAYBE he has no idea WHAT he meant by his inital post at all and therefore has no business insulting anyone else for not knowing what the hell he's on about.
THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT GENTLEMEN

Stop grasping. Even StD is on the right side of the equation this time: You've been sent to remedial Internet.
If you don't want to post AYBABTU, maybe we can have a party in your thread of selected Chuck Norris facts: After all, they're obscure and unlikely to show up on any searches. I look forward to the humor and mirth I'm sure you'll provide for all.

It's entirely possible that there are Chuck Norris facts out there that (a) we haven't heard of before, (b) will make us laugh and (c) will be the basis of some very interesting discussion.
Now GOOD NIGHT.
For real this time.

I can't say that I mind that this ytmnd has its own thread, nor do I really care too much about whether or not something is old hat.
No, my beef is simply that this thread is yet another addition to Renegen's long history of posting complete and utter garbage.
Vigil on 31/10/2006 at 22:01
It is not garbage if it was garbage do you think he would have gone to university for all those years?
Renegen on 1/11/2006 at 03:37
It's debatable.. which did happen in this thread. Forums are a place of discussion, TTLG has a tigher community and there's few threads that get neglected so if the subject doesn't appeal to the forum then the person should stop talking about it, but you don't tell someone to shut up because they decided to speak up in a group environment. The conversation just naturally goes somewhere.

Oh yeah? I don't have that many threads.

Just as a weird point of interest, how do you pronounce "YTMND" in your heads?
It comes out sounding like "white mind" in mine. :erm:
