Why not? Surely a game review on OMM is as much about the game as it is about OMM and their style of writing. So if the first thread sparks of 3 page discussion about Rune anyone who tags on a link to their review of NOLF at the end probably won't get the discussion they might want.
And what exactly is the harm of making a new thread? New or ressurected, either way it's just one more topic pushing everything else from the top of the threads-listing. Strain on the server you say? I'm no expert at php - so correct me if I'm wrong - but wouldn't a new thread simply add another entry to the "threads" part of the database? So instead of 1 new entry in the "posts" part you get 2 new entrys in the database? Wether that's a steep price to pay for a new thread depends on the content, which is objective.

What? Alright, let's get one thing straight, I think the YMNTD he linked to was fucking shit. That's not the question here. I was debating wether it's a legitimate thread or not.
To recap:

Oh? And I guess anyone who wanted to read the news would visit CNN.com? And anyone who wanted to see Flash cartoons would visit Newgrounds? And anyone who wanted to read about religion would visit a religious website? What's the point of having forums then? Because people like to discuss all those things and see what other people think of them. Do you see me popping into every political thread going "jeez guys go to CNN.com if you wanna read about politics and boring shit like that" or "didn't we have a political thread last week, why did you make a new one???"
