Then maybe you should consider purchasing a better toupee.

Todd Snider, checking now. Thankyou Henke, that was considerate of you. If you like country stuff you might like (
http://www.myspace.com/deathvessel) Death Vessel. Wow, that was a bit of a jump to conclusions, sorry. But I think they're good.
This sounds nice, its very dylan-y.

Ahha, another Wainwright video.
I think the lesson here is he's awfully good at taking phenomenal songs that other people write and covering them to make them sound better.

Wainwright's version of Across the Universe is worse. His voice is just less interesting than Lennon's.

I'm going to be all doughy eyed and predictable and say that the Jeff Buckley version is better than Wainwright, however much I tire of Buckley's self indulgent phrasing these days.

It's alright, but the dude's voice is a little too high for my liking. I like my country/folk singers to have more deep baritone/gravely kinda voices.
And, yeah, lately I have been getting into the country stuff. It started with artists who occationally dabble with the country stuff, like Buck 65, Cake, Tom Waits before I moved on to the more hardcore stuff, like Johnny Cash, Townes Van Zandt and Loretta Lynn.
Now, if you wanna get into Todd Snider, I recommend the album "East Nashville Skyline". That one was the first album of his I listened to(on the recommendation of a friend) and I found him to be one of those rare artists that just went straight into my heart. Nothing you have to think about. Todd tells his stories (about Tillamook county jail, Nashville, (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bne02xIBFA) The Kingsmen and Marilyn Manson, Mike Tyson, conservative Christians, his girlfriend getting incarcerated, his dead friends, Hank Williams). You listen.
