Hmm well my first play through of the game was easily the best of the lot. The bits which I recall most:
* First encounter with one of the exploding robots. I had no idea it was going to explode the first time, and just stood there and was dead a few moments later.
* The major plot twist halfway through the game with Shodan revealing herself. When I got to that bit I was like OH MY GOD SHODAN. I`d had my suspicions about Polito after one of her emails in the Hydroponics level, in which there was a split second glitch of sound interference that sounded very "Shodan" in nature. But to know for sure totally blew me away.
* Discovering the whole story as I went through the levels. The level of the plot twist Rec or Executive I think its been ages since I`ve last played SS2 I enjoyed most from a storyline point of view. I really liked the hacker guy since despite the fact that he was taken over by the many, his individuality remained to a large respect as well as his hacker life style, and never truelly aligning himself to one side or another.
* Reaching the where am I? level. I remember walking around that level with a huge grin on my face. To see that level all remade in spiffy gfx. I was disapointed that more of it wasn`t in there.

lol, I love reading through these. They're making me flash back to my favourite times.
Mine are all similar. Here are a few (I can't place just one)
- being petrified of walking into the Cargo Bays. Forget that it's only a game. I was frozen in terror.
- having to only play in small doses because the spiders freaked me out too much if I played for any longer than thirty minutes at a time.
- Fondly remembering the surroundings in "Where am I now".
- the joy at finding a game that had the same feel and immersion as SS1, after giving up ever feeling that again.
- Multiplayer with D'Arcy. He was hugely better than me, but was still great fun to play with and a great guy as well.
@raph - it was funny reading your post. I was thinking "but there's no explosions there" then the end made total sense :)

Don't be modest. You do a very good job, especially since you usually play as OSA - except for those times when you have pyro field on and get too close ;) Those MP sessions were always great fun for me as well.
And I already told you that we should try a game again soon. It's been too long :)

Oh yeah, MP! My MP one would be that time when I was trying to shoot a turret with D'Arcy desperately trying to protect it.
me (shooting turret repeatedly) - "MOVE OUT OF THE WAY"
him - "NO! Stop shooting you idiot!" (desperately tries to hack turret)
me - "NO! TURRET BAD" (continues shooting)
him - considers letting the turret do its job

Probably the best moment for me on my first playthrough was when I came back from retrieving the code to open the door to get the hatch to engineering. Came round the corner & the damn robot that had been inside that room was now outside & gunning for me. SHIT! Back up while unloading my whole pistol mag at it. Hardly dented the bloody thing. Suddenly remember I have AP ammo for the pistol. Franticly try to reload but get killed before I can reload & fire again. I swore revenge on that bot & capped an AP bullet in it's ass the next time we met.
And speaking of the twist in the game that CknMcOwnage talked about. Brilliant. I walked into the room where Polito was waiting & the first thing I notice is that she doesn't look very alive. Oh Shit! Please don't let her be dead I'm thinking. Get into the room & Entree SHODAN. OH MY GOD! I am so screwed now. Just brilliantly done & excellent for those who didn't really know much about the system shock story too.
P.S: I think I've mentioned before about meeting a spider in game & the cat touching my foot with it's nose at the same time.
That cat is lucky to be alive.lol.:joke:

Wow,
I've had almost all of these experiences (except for the cat) and thought it was because i was a woss (i can't spell ok?). the first thing i do on deck 2 is kill the robot, i'm not letting it scare the shit out out of me again.
the worst thing thats happened to me was the broken lift in the cargo bay, pressing the button spawns a robot, try having 15 of those things coming at you with only 10 AP bullets. i'm still yet to conquer that part of the game using only the wrench or psi.
another thing is pointabee station, I've played through that once and that will do, it was like SS2 except worse.

Either that happens a lot, or I was there. Right now, I'm leaning towards the former, I think it happened around me more than once :p

Looks like Gforce and me have something in common. I only pressed the button once - and promptly had an arctic chill go up my spine.
Thought process: Oh ****! Aren't all the droids after my blood?!?! :wot:
Sure 'nuff, I soon heard the "chink-chank-chink-chank" getting closer. Insides went to mush as I ran around to the other elevator in a total panic and hit the button.
Other great moments:
~Watching the lady run from a shotgun wielding thing.
~Listening to Xerxes' announcements. :weird:
~Falling down a long ways and actually feeling like I was falling. (I put my arms up to protect my head just before I hit bottom. Had to quit for the night after that.)
~Hearing a little cheep-cheep from nowhere. "Hey, what's that? Waitaminute...isn't that a..." *turn around and look right into a camera just as it goes red*. "YAAAGH I SET OFF THE ALARM! RUNRUNRUN!" :joke:
~Having several spiders come out of nowhere after reprogramming a sim unit.
~Going down a ladder to grab items...when the floor erupts in steam with no warning whatsoever.
~Realizing I was totally and utterly ALONE with a mad robot running things after seeing the escape pod launch, Polito dead, and listening to the logs of the guy who became Many Chow.
