@fett, you heard any Spock's Beard? They definitely draw a lot of, um, 'inspiration' from classic Yes (though perhaps more inspiration from the wakeman era than you'd like...) Good songs "(

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CViap6J_j2U) At the End of the Day" (I like the original studio version much better than this live version, also this song is the most keyboardy of the ones I list...), anything from their first album "The Light".
Yeah - one of my favorite albums is "Snow" and "Octane" is pretty great too, though post-Neal Morse. Great band. Have you heard Transatlantic that he does with Portnoy from DT and one of the guys from the Flower Kings?

Yeah, I've heard some Transatlantic, don't have any of their albums yet but what I've heard seems like really good stuff. Snow is a great great album.

Every time I think I want to get into straight-up prog, I look at bands like Dream Theater, Spock's Beard and Pain of Salvation and go back to doom metal.

Can you not even tolerate Train of Thought? Even non-DT fans usually appreciate that one.

Jesus you guys, the minute prog rock comes up...

Heh, no issues. We can agree to disagree after all. It's always going to be one of my favourites because it's gloriously ridiculous.
I am always amazed that Mmmmmm mmmmm mmmm mmmmm got the airplay it did, given that it's a pretty weird song. I actually love it.
That said, I'm not sure I would call the Crash Test Dummies one-hit wonders - wasn't Superman's Song big for a bit?

I thought this day might come :(
I think it's quite hard for an artist to release a hit and then have a follow-up song completely ignored for the purposes of one-hit-wonder recognition. Cut them some slack!
Although here's a favorite of mine who just about managed that yes it's(

I think it's the nature of having one big hit, that a follow up song will always receive more significant airplay than it otherwise should. I think if you look at most of the one hit wonders out there, their only other popular song followed right after their only hit. So then the question is does that follow up song count at all towards them having any longevity or sustainable career.
I think another pretty momentous one hit wonder was Norman Greembaum's Spirit in the Sky:
