Just got the new Connor Oberst cd. It's great, but I wouldn't reccomend it if you didn't like Cassadaga, because it is more stuff along those lines...

Every track on the CD totally rocks. This Bad Girlfriend reminds me a bit of the Cult. A couple other tracks have some "similar" riffs you'll like still.

I Like Scars and Souvenirs as well, my favorite track would be "By the Way" but that's just me. Staind's new album The Illusion of Progress is pretty good as well from the songs I've heard off of it.

That album baffles me every time I listen to, but it's incredibly awesome in it's execution. I saw them live a year ago or so opening for Hella and I think I liked them live better- it reminded me of Bluegrass-punk rock.

Ok, I know I'm necroing, but I have to say that Lil Wayne's Carter III is the best album I've gotten this year.
I don't know if he's the 'best rapper alive', but he pretty damn good.
Definitely understands the arts of simile and analogy.
