I am asking all of you that. Hehe. I don't personally know, but I have a Daedric Dai-Katana. It looks really good damage wise, so I was just wondering if this is the best one? I am mainly asking because I was wondering if this is the weapon I should stick with for the rest of the game, and possibly start Enchanting it.

It sounds good, but I'm sure it isn't as powerful as my Enchanted Balsa-Wood Claymore. :p

Yes, Deadric weapons are top of the line. Personally I am using a Deadric battleaxe because it's more impressive :p

Hehe. Ok guys thanks. :D I am just wondering because I really want to start enchanting some of my equipment, yet I am afraid to because I don't want to waste precious Soul Gems. My Daedric Dai-Katana does the best attack of like 1-60 dmg, so I'm wondering if it is worthy of being enchanted.
On that note, any suggestions on what I could put on it? I was thinking maybe something like a Paralyze effect that "Casts When Strikes"? What you guys think?

The best long sword is the Daedric Dai-katana.
Unless you wanted a 1hs, in which you'd go with the katana or longsword :shrug, I'm an axe man *nod @ BattleMage*
I'd personally go with paralyze if I had trouble, otherwise damage. =)

Yeah. I'm personally a 2HS man hehe. My next character will prefer one handed weaponry. So a Daedric Dai-Katana it is then. :D
Ok. So Paralyze and some Damage. I was thinking that. Maybe Fire Damage? What do you guys think? Disintegrating Armor and Weaponry? Stealing Attributes? I dunno. Up to all of you. I am not sure about Stealing Attributes, since I prefer to kill off characters quickly. ;p
BattleMage on 19/5/2002 at 02:43
Aye, paralize is definately powerfull. I also heard about people using "heal self on strike" with great results, although I don't see why you'd need to heal yourself if you don't get hurt because everything dies in one or two hits :p
Anyway, both paralize and healing are rather cheesy. Put a nice big lightning bolt on it I say :)

Erp, I post too slow :(
About fire damage, dark elves apparently resist fire for 75% and since they are good for more then half of the population it might not be such a good idea. In fact, poison is probably the best damage, but would you rather say "I poisoned that guy and he died" or "I stroke him down with a lightning beam"? :p
I feel the same about stealing attributes. Desintegrate weapon? Err, just chop his arm off.

Umbra.
BattleMage on 19/5/2002 at 04:04
What about umbra?
It is already enchanted, with soultrap, which is useless (soultrap isn't useless, but having it on a sword is) and it does only slightly more damage than a Deadric weapon. When you place a good enchantment on the Deadric, it becomes way better than the Umbra.
