Hey,
I've been thinking of buying myself a new computer, and wanted it to be perfectly adapted to my Thief interests. Regarding the current evolution of different OSs and the evolution of FMs, what do you think would be the ideal hardware setup to get the most out of thief?

for me it's all the defaults for both Thieves, except the walking keys being wasd, lean forward as z, quicksave as alt + s (not default in T1) and ofcourse get taffermouse for thief one, so the inventory scrolling is not hell.

Well, I never managed to get Thief videos to play in Windows Vista at all. My NVidia card runs Thief 1 just fine, but some of NV's drivers have caused problems in the past. If this bothers you, you may want to buy a system with an ATI card instead. I mostly play Thief 1/2 in Wine on Debian these days.
