What, in your opinion, is the most suitable race for a character to be St. Nerevar Incarnate? I'm talking about the storyline and the legends, not just the actual gameplay.
1) Dunmer - Great choice, because the Dunmer are native to Morrowind; only downside is that the 'native' Dunmer see you as even more of an outlander than other races..
2) Nord - Basically a terrible choice, Nords being the sworn enemies of Dunmer and of Morrowind.. But there is an irony to it though: a Nord as the Nerevarine?! ;)
3) Hist/Argonian - Despite their cooler-than-average names (eg. Only-He-Stands-There, Skink-In-Tree's-Shade, etc.), the Argonians are a poor choice for the Nerevarine, because they have nothing at all to do with Morrowind AFAIK, except as being slaves and mages there. Of course again there is the irony: a slave asthe Nerevarine?! ;)
4) Redguard - Not a bad choice IMO; Redguards have been quite prominent in the history of Tamriel, if I am not mistaken. (Weren't they in Battlespire? And Stros M'Kai was an important place too..)
5) Altmer - Also pretty good; one of the 'higher kin' of the Dunmer coming to liberate his distant relatives?
6) Khajiit - Although I find this race especially intriguing for some reason, I think these feline thief/combatants do not fit into Morrowind at all, and not very well as the Nerevarine (although he is said to be an outlander).
So, what do you think? [Please note that my knowledge of the histories and events of Nirn is still very scant; I look to refine it as well as I may]
:)
*EDIT*: Dang, I tried to make this a Poll but I can't anymore.. :erm:

I don't know hat the hell a Nerevarine is, but I dominated the game as a Nord.
The dunmer didn't give me much crap after I killed Vivec and the Ordinator king anyway.
Basically, all I'm saying is that your ideas of what's good are the worst ideas I've ever seen. That being said, you have to be as smart as me and make a Nordish battlemage if you want to be cool.
Anyone who isn't me isn't cool, I'm president of the 'Tuco is Cool' club.

They tried calling me a neverininie thingy once. I killed them so they called me a whoretator. I liked the word whoretator so I stuck with it.

Oops, sorry.. I didn't know there was one already.
Although, the Poll is only about what your favorite race is, whereas I'm asking which race do you think would be best suited to be the Nerevarine..

Doesn't the MW lore state that the most hoped for Nerveryne is Tuco?

Re: Hortator's question
It's a tough choice. A nerevarine of any race has an ironic quality countering the racism and xenophobism of the people. They have to acknowledge that a foriegn and supposedly inferior being saved them. Of the races, I would think the dunmer nerevarine has the least amount of irony, while the "slave" races--argonian and khatjiit--have the most.
An imperial or nord nerevarine is interesting too; someone of the conquering race defeating the common enemy. Folks would have very mixed feelings about that one. Bretons, redguards and the other elf races don't have much of that irony to them, so they don't really interest me as nerevarines.
Well, maybe wood elves...but I can't see a wood elf nerevarine. They just don't seem the heroic selfless types.
Hmmm...maybe that makes the bosmer the best choice.
