Has anyone played Rock Band or played the remastered CD's yet? I have to wait to get them. Paying rent out of town for daughters in school. I saw George Harrison's son (one of the developers) on Conan last night. It looked pretty cool.
Has anyone purchased either set yet?

I bought Beatles: Rock Band for my Wii yesterday with my birthday money. So far not bad, when playing on Medium there's not a huge amount for the guitarist to do on quite a few of the tracks but it looks like the bass player will be kept pretty busy!
It seems to be less forgiving than earlier releases as far as timing goes, or else I flubbed the calibration process perhaps. Only 40ish tracks in the setlist with a lot more to come via paid downloads, I believe.

I must have misunderstood someone. I thought they told me there were 89 tracks. 40 is kind of chinzy.
On Conan, Danny Harrison suggested expert for people who knew what they were doing.

I can understand the bass player doing more work than the guitar. I've been learning Daytripper and Rain on the bass and Paul McCartney is a motherfucker.
Seriously, are there any bass players here that have tried to pick out his stuff? What the FUCK was wrong with that guy? He uses some of the most bastardized fingerings and stretches I've ever seen. I love Shennan, Wooten, Geddy Lee and the like, but McCartney says they can go fuck themselves. I can't understand where the guy gets this stuff and it's frustrating as hell to try to imitate. :( :(
