Thats too bad. I pretty much only remembered her from being on TNG, not the old star trek but I always liked her.

RIP, an icon of Star Trek. Also much thanks to her for producing the wonderful first season of Earth: Final Conflict (it was downhill with the introduction of Liam Kincaid in S2).

Troi's mother was more annoying than Troi herself.
She was great as the voice of LCARS though, but utterly unremarkable as the recurring nurse on TOS.

Bizarrely, there is no credit for Lwaxana Troi on any of the IMDB pages related to Star Trek. It's as if she didn't want to be known for that part.

What I want to know is: Why is everyone suddenly calling her "Barrett-Roddenberry" or "Roddenberry"? Up until this point I have never seen her referred to as anything other than "Majel Barrett", irrespective of her marriage to Gene Roddenberry. It's enough to drive a Trekkie insane.
Yes I said it, I said "Trekkie". Screw all you young wannabes who think that "Trekker" is an acceptable term, with your damned namby-pamby Janeways and Wesleys and touchy-feely Very Special Episodes. And get offa my lawn!

I have seen her referred to as Barrett and Roddenberry both, in my time.

The 'Trekker' term was around long before Janeway, Wesley, or touchy feely episodes. It's a preference that I take of Trekkie any day.

(
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708725/) Yes (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708747/) there (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708749/) is. It is due to IMDB's appalling presentation of information that you won't find Lwaxana Troi unless you skip to the episode cast pages rather than the overview, which only gives the first role for most multi-role performers.
