And (
http://www.thinkgeek.com/) this place is apparently a bastion of all things geek/nerd, but I've never really looked around.
Not as good as it used to be, but I confess to buying some fairly awesome (IMHO) things from ThinkGeek in the past.

Gamer stuff. Accessories and old games as have been mentioned before, but I'm thinking more like promotional posters, mousepads, stuff like that. I eat that kind of shit up, but it can be awfully hard to find unless you happen to know someone who knows someone at EB. I may be opening myself up to (further) scorn and ridicule here, but a good example would be something like the Morrowind wall clock available from CafePress which I bought and really like.

Old typewriters seem to be a niche rage, that and finding parts and ribbons for them.I think it is the ca-ching and the ping and the tacatatacata noise as you type.

Or a comic based on it. ¬¬

If you stock a copy of the original Grim Fandango soundtrack cd and sell it for less than £STUPID, I will be your best friend forever*
I'm aware it's available online in mp3 form, but that's not what I want is it?
*a least ten minutes.

Old games and especially the goodies that used to come with them. Manuals longer and more detailed than a decent novel, official game fiction (the StarCraft novels spring to mind, but I bet there is far more interesting stuff to be had out there), maps made out of cloth, ICE Breakers, that kind of things. Good luck finding some of those, though. :(

I'm not sure why, but I really LMAO'ed at that. :laff:

I think old games and the old game "parts" dj_ivocha mentioned are going to win out here. Having such high demand items will make you stand out and spark major interest, although I think it will be a little tough to pull some people away from ebay.
