See now that would have been a great episode but OBrien and Bashir are so wet you just want to blow the station up so you never have to see or hear them again. Odo was an embarrasment. When Worf arrived it was clash of the puerile alien voices.

"Unaware of its own cheese"? Damn, you really don't have a clue about SG-1, do you? They poke fun at themselves (and other sci-fi) on a regular basis. Can you name any other sci-fi show that would send themselves up with an episode like "Wormhole Extreme"?
Stargate is good because it has interesting characters played by skilled actors.
Stargate is good because it has a premise that lets them discover new things every episode.
Stargate is good because it effectively juxtaposes the fantastic with the everyday. Teal'c may be an alien warrior with an evil symbiote in his gut, but he's always up for a good steak.
Stargate is good because it isn't static. The SGC of the current season is far more powerful and knowledgeable than the SGC of season one.
Stargate is good because it takes itself seriously, but not TOO seriously.
And what the heck, Stargate is good because it has great special effects.
If you think Stargate is so horrible, then why don't you tell us what's wrong with it?

Anyways, I'm just surprised that you like it ZB, considering how critical you are of anyone or anything that puts a foot wrong. Lots of people like it, I think it sucks. Flavours for cavers or something.
