Quote:
A completely new villain, built from scratch by DC and Rocksteady, will hound Batman in Arkham Knight - hence the ominous name.
He (presumably a he) looks similar to Batman, judging by his silhouette, although he's missing a cape.
"We wanted to introduce someone who could really challenge Batman, to go head-to-head with him in lots of different ways," said Sefton Hill. "... this guy is definitely a formidable foe for Batman."
Oh Christ. I hope this isn't another Anti-Batman like Wrath or Prometheus. Prometheus was only interesting for about 5 minutes (and then Batman gave him Lou Gehrig's disease) and Wrath was interesting for precisely 0 seconds.

It sorta sounds like the guy that was hinted to as being the villain in the next game during that one part in Arkham City. (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hush_%28comics%29) Hint. He's an already existing character though. Or maybe all this "we're creating a new character" business is just a red herring. Hmm!

Ah, him. Could be interesting -- he certainly has the skills.

That silver age conversation was ridiculous.
It was campy until the hardcore shit DC did in the 70s about heroin, hookers, kids in gangs/committing crime, and other real world pg_13 themes. Iirc, it was like Detective/Batman and Green Lantern (or was it Arrow?) with Neal Adams behind the wheel. I collected all that shit. The victims of the CCA (comics code authority) were forced to be sanitized as an over reaction to the teen scream horror shit that the guy from Mad magazine and others did in the 50s.
And cut the games. They are a hoot, and definitely were an interesting, fun era. I would LOVE a game based on that era. Come on, we have several games based on the modern heroes. What's it hurt to have just one campy Bat game? Hint, nothing.

I just want a Rocksteady Brave And The Bold game.
